WHAT TIME DOES LA EXPERIENCIA START AND END?

Official start time is at 4.00pm on May 17, 2024 and ends after breakfast on May 20, 2024

WHICH AIRPORT DO I FLY INTO?

You fly into San Juan Airport (SJU)

CAN YOU HELP ME BOOK MY FLIGHT?

Flights are not included in the trip cost and our guests are free to book their own flights. As a courtesy and in the spirit of uplifting our Latina owned businesses, we have partnered with Remarkable Places Travel Agency and they can support guests in booking their flights

 

Remarkable Places will access the best possible rates by grouping guests into groups of ten per flight departure city.

 

Example: If you choose to fly from Miami International, Remarkable Places will book you, along with nine other trip guests, on the best flight from Miami to Puerto Rico. You will not be required to travel as a group, it is simply a group fare booking.

HOW DO I GET FROM AIRPORT TO THE VENUE?

Given that many of our community have indicated that they have family and friends on the island and may be adding extra days to their trip, airport transfers are not included in the overall ticket price of La Experiencia RIO. 

But we’ve got you covered! 

If you need a ride, take advantage of a special group rate by booking a spot on one of our group transfers. Add this to your cart at check-out or contact our team by email for more info!

Arrival Transfer Only

We’ll be providing group transfers during the peak arrival times of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on May 17 from San Juan International Airport (SJU) to the Wyndham Palmas.

The arrival only per person price is $55 including taxes.

Departure Transfer Only 

We’ll be providing group transfers during the peak departure times of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on May 20 from Wyndham Palmas to San Juan International Airport (SJU).

The departure only per person price is $55 including taxes.

Round-Trip Transfers 

We’ll be providing round-trip group transfers from San Juan International Airport (SJU) to Wyndham Palmas and vice versa during the peak arrival and departure times of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The round-trip per person price is $110 including taxes.

CAN THIS TRIP CATER TO SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?

Absolutely. We work closely with our partners and suppliers and can accommodate most dietary requirements. We will email you with a form to gather information about your dietary requirements 3 weeks before the trip start date. 

WILL I GET ANY “FREE” TIME?

Absolutely! There is plenty of leisure time included for you to re-charge, nap, or do your own thing. We always schedule down time in our daily itinerary.

IS MY DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE IF I DECIDE TO CANCEL THE TRIP?

The deposit becomes non-refundable on September 30, and is used to secure your spot on the trip. If you decide to cancel your trip, we cannot refund your deposit. Please ensure you purchase adequate travel insurance to cover any fees you may incur if you have to cancel your trip.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PAY THE REMAINING BALANCE?

The payment schedule for this trip is detailed below. 

• First Payment: Deposit of $400 paid at time of booking 
• Second Payment: 35% of the total value of your booking is due on October 13, 2023
• Third Payment: 35% of the total value of your booking is due on February 2, 2024
• Balance Payment: Remaining balance due on March 15, 2024

 

All payments are non-refundable.

CAN I COME TO THIS TRIP ALONE?

Yes! Traveling alone is a great way to meet new people, and many people will be coming solo. On this trip we’re all in it together and you’ll be part of the group from the moment you arrive.

I WANT TO SHARE A ROOM BUT I AM TRAVELING ALONE, DO YOU ASSIGN ME SOMEONE TO SHARE THE ROOM WITH ?

If you are traveling alone and would like to share a room, we use our best judgment to find a good match. We endeavor to accommodate any specific requests you may have. Please contact us with any requests so that we can assign you to an unaccompanied guest that also wants to travel in a double occupancy room.

HOW DO YOU ASSIGN THE ROOMS?

Rooms are assigned based on the category you selected at booking on a first come, first served basis.

WHAT IS THE COVID CANCELLATION POLICY?

In the unlikely event that WE have to cancel the trip for any reason then we will offer you the following options:

• A full refund of all monies paid, including your deposit
• Transfer of your booking, free of charge, to a future trip of the same value

If you are unable to attend the trip for any reason, including because of a last-minute positive Covid-19 test, or restrictions in your region or country,  you will need to make a claim with your travel insurance provider to claim any trip costs.

Please ensure your travel Insurance provider covers you for the following:

• Cancellation fees
• Positive Covid-19 test preventing you from traveling
• Local and destination restrictions preventing you from traveling

IS TRAVEL INSURANCE MANDATORY?

We do not include travel insurance as everyone’s needs are different but having travel insurance in place for each person is a condition of your booking. Please ensure COVID-19 cover is included. If you haven’t purchased cover yet, you can do so here:
