WHAT TIME DOES THE RETREAT START AND END?

The retreat officially starts at 3:00 PM on September 16, 2024, and ends at 11:00 AM on September 20, 2024.

HOW DO I GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL?

DHARMA will provide group transfers from Liberia International Airport (LIR) to Cala Luna Boutique Hotel at set times, which will be communicated by DHARMA. People arriving outside of these times or at Tamarindo Airport (TNO) will need to schedule their own transfers. 

It will take approximately 1 hour and 40 min to get to Cala Luna Boutique Hotel.

WHAT ARE THE PASSPORT, VISA AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS?

It is your responsibility to check and comply with any travel, passport, visa, entry, health, vaccination, testing, and immigration requirements applicable to your booking.

Costa Rica requires US passport holders to have passports valid for at least the length of stay planned in the country and to have one blank page. Visas are not required for stays less than 180 days, but you do need to be able to show you have a return flight ticket.

WHAT CURRENCY SHOULD I BRING?

Costa Rica uses Colones and US dollars. You can bring US dollars with you, although you should avoid denominations over $20 if possible. Credit card companies often charge significant fees for international debit card transactions. There are multiple ATMs in Tamarindo. You can exchange US dollars for Costa Rican Colones at one of the local banks, doing this will usually give you better exchange rates when making local purchases.

IS THIS TRIP SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY?

CAN THIS TRIP CATER TO SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?

Absolutely. We work closely with our partners and suppliers and can accommodate most dietary requirements. We will email you a form to gather information about your dietary requirements three weeks before the trip start date. 

WILL I GET ANY “FREE” TIME?

Absolutely! There is plenty of leisure time included for you to recharge, nap, or do your own thing. We always schedule downtime in our daily itinerary.

WHEN DO I NEED TO PAY THE REMAINING BALANCE?

Trips feature a variety of payment options. Your remaining balance due date will depend on which payment option you select at time of booking.

OPTION 1: Pay in full

You can pay the full balance at time of booking

OPTION 2: Fifty50 

You can pay 50% at the time of booking and the remaining 50% due by June 18, 2024 (90 days before departure)

CAN I COME TO THIS TRIP ALONE?

Yes! Traveling alone is a great way to meet new people, and many people will be coming solo. On this trip we’re all in it together and you’ll be part of the group from the moment you arrive.

I WANT TO SHARE A ROOM BUT I AM TRAVELING ALONE, DO YOU ASSIGN ME SOMEONE TO SHARE THE ROOM WITH?

If you are traveling alone and would like to share a room, we use our best judgment to find a good match. We endeavor to accommodate any specific requests you may have. Please contact us with any requests so that we can assign you to an unaccompanied guest who also wants to travel in a double occupancy room.

HOW DO YOU ASSIGN THE ROOMS?

Rooms are assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.

WHAT IS THE TRIP CANCELLATION POLICY?

CANCELLATION BY US

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the trip for any reason then we will offer you the following options:

• A full refund of all money paid, including your deposit
• Transfer of your booking, free of charge, to a future trip of the same value

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the trip for any reason, any flight tickets purchased by you will not be able to be refunded. It is for this reason that travel insurance is a mandatory condition of your booking.

CANCELLATION BY YOU

The deposit and any subsequent payments made by guests are used to secure the Trip and are non-refundable. All guests must ensure that they purchase travel insurance at the time of booking the Trip and ensure that the travel insurance covers them for the following:

• Flight cancelation
• Trip payments
• Medical restriction preventing you from traveling
• Local and destination restrictions preventing you from traveling

CANCELLATION BY US

We may need to cancel the Trip whether before or after departure, and such cancellation shall be subject to our cancellation policy.

Furthermore, it sometimes occurs that a Trip does not meet the minimum number of guests and must therefore be canceled.  

In order for this Trip to go ahead, we need to hit the minimum number of 20 guests.

A final decision will be made on whether this Trip will go ahead no later than the Trip Confirmation Deadline, as set for July 30, 2024. By that date, should the minimum number of guests not have been reached, you will receive a cancellation email. 

We recommend waiting until after the Trip Confirmation Deadline to purchase flight tickets. Should you wish to know in advance of the go-no-go decision due date if the Trip is confirmed, you may check the Trip status on our website. If the Trip status is listed as “Sold Out” or “Confirmed” it is confirmed to operate.  If the Trip status is not detailed this means we have not yet reached the minimum number of guests required for the Trip to go ahead. 

If we have to cancel the Trip for any reason, any flight tickets and any other travel related expenses that may have been purchased by you outside of this package e.g. transport, insurance etc. may not be able to be refunded. It is for this reason that travel insurance is a mandatory condition of your booking.

IS TRAVEL INSURANCE INCLUDED?

We do not include travel insurance as everyone’s needs are different. However, having travel insurance in place for each person is a condition of your booking. If you haven’t purchased cover yet, you can do so here: Faye Travel Insurance 

Please ensure your travel Insurance provider covers you for the following:

• Flight cancelation
• Trip payments
• Medical restrictions preventing you from traveling
